| The conference was called to order. |
| 1. Dr. Zubair gave a brief summary of the expenses incurred last year leaving a balance of $13000. The details of all expenditures will be given to the new treasurer Dr. Nadeem ul Haque. It appears that there will be atleast $13000 in the bank. It was also suggested that a spread sheet be developed as new spending for the coming year will begin. It was also emphasized that there should be modest reserve in the bank which hopefully will increase and that every effort be made to remain budget neutral along with fiscal prudence.
Nadeem will also look in the possibilty of paying on line through a credit card at the same time ensuring the security of the website. |
| 2. The picnic preparations on .3 june,2007 are well on thereway . The venue for this year wll be Mercer county ,Valley Road Picnic Area. Dr. Mughal has promissed this to be a memorable one everybody is requested to spread the word. |
| 3. The evolution of the cricket league is also heading in the right direction. It will be not be possible to play all the matches because of lack of time.An abridged version consisting if two matches was proposed. and hopefully this will become a salient feature of our activities in the years to came.It was also emphased that the women should take an active role in this sporting event. |
| 4. It was decided to hold back on signing the confidentiality agreement with regards to the CME credits. The matter will require further investigation. |
| 5. The annual Eid dinner will be held at the Parsippay Hilton. Mehreen has worked hard to secure the venue . The dinner fee could be $60. per person. Other programme issue are being worked out. |
| 6. Dr's Salim and Farrukh did a fine job with the soveneir journal last year and were asked to fullfil that role again as coordinators. |
| 7. Increasing the membership of this chapter remains the central theme. The success of this organisation is dependent on securing this goal. Please ask every eligible pakistani doctor to be part of this organization. |
